VOCAL NY is visiting Washington DC on June 9th, Monday. We will deliver your letters to your representatives. Please send us your stories in the form of a letter to your Senator/Congressman.

Dear Senator or Congressman;
The issue of my concern is the overdue need for Family Court reform, the urgency for reform and accountability in Child Protection and Family Placement Agencies within the DSS, and the repeal of the Mondale Act/CAPTA.
Your story.....
I am asking for congressional hearings into these matters. I, for one am ready to be heard. Many others are willing and ready as well. We implore you for a hearing. This is an opportunity for your office to perform a great service to the people of this country. Please don't turn your back on the children of this country. Thank you.

Our visit to the Senatorial offices in Washington DC was accomplished. We talked with legislative representatives and communicated our message which was the need for constitutional protections for children and families. Our thanks to all of the offices staff members for helping to facilitate these meetings.
